Chaitanya Shinde is an experienced Autonomous Driving Car and Robotics Engineer with a demonstrated history of 8+ years of working in the automotive and robotics industry. He currently works as a Senior Systems engineer focused on AV Safety at Cruise and is responsible for system safety and architecture of the L4 Robotaxi. In the past, he has worked as a Systems Architect and Perception Systems Engineer at Motional and Aptiv L4 Robotaxis. Chaitanya has a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a specialization in Robotics.
Outside of his day job, Chaitanya is an active member of SAE, IEEE and ISO Standards Committee for Autonomous Driving and AI Safety. He serves on an Advisory Board for SAE Young professional's committee and as an acting industry advisor for Carnegie Mellon Student Racing team. He is also a Safety Expert for The Autonomous, an international AV organization.
