Rashmi is the System Safety lead for Onboard Software at Waymo, with 7 years of experience working on different aspects of safety of Automated Driving System (ADS). At Waymo, Rashmi sets the technical direction for and manages the team that conducts system safety analyses for Perception, Behavior Prediction, Routing, and Planning software systems. Prior to Waymo, Rashmi was a part of the AV Systems & Safety team at Ford Motor Company, where she led a cross-functional team to perform systems-theoretic process analysis (STPA), and coordinated functional safety activities for ADS and base vehicle interface.
